Scenes from a "roots" trip to west central Slovakia and the town of Tuzina (formerly called Schmiedshau), in the Carpathian Mountains. This village was the home of my maternal grandfather and his ancestry. In 2023, the village celebrated its 630th anniversary, based on the first known mention of town in existing written documents. The village may be even older than that.
